Visit the beautiful Villa Rufolo on the Amalfi Coast

One of the highlights of the quiet Ravello Heights is exploring the town's oldest villas on the hilltop.

Villa Rufolo, built by 13th-century merchants, was revived in the 19th century by the Scottish botanist Francis Reid.

The ivy-covered tower in the garden, and the Moorish arcades, are said to have inspired the famous composer Wagner to compose his famous opera Parsifal.

The villa now also hosts classical concerts in the summer.

Hike through the Valley of the Mills in Amalfi

Escape the hordes of tourists in Amalfi and take a hike to the quieter Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills).

It is a group of green ruins. It was originally a rocky area that arose approximately 35 thousand years ago. The area was used to build wheat mills, which is why it was given this name.

These mills have become part of the green nature of the place, as if they were a forgotten, imaginary part of the world.
