Lara Beach in Antalya

Located about ten kilometers east of the historic city center, this beach is a beautiful place to rest and relax.

It is a quiet place with plenty of tourist facilities, so you can easily have a drink or sit down for a meal at one of the nearby restaurants.

You can also find many different hotels and accommodation options if you want to be closer to the beach when staying in Antalya.

Yifli Minaret

One of the most famous landmarks in Antalya, it is an elegant monument that brilliantly depicts Seljuk architecture.

It is also part of a 13th century mosque that is still in use today.

Moreover, it is possible to climb to the top of the minaret, which will give visitors the opportunity to see beautiful panoramic views of the city.

It is 38 metres high and next to it is the Antalya Ethnographic Museum, which contains many ancient and interesting artifacts.

Karaalioglu Park in Antalya

Just outside the city centre, Karaalioglu Park is a huge walkable area and a perfect place for a picnic.

The ancient Hidirlik Tower is also located in one corner of the park.

There are also some great views of the Gulf of Antalya ahead of you, and you can also see the old Roman harbour.

In addition, the park is home to many statues and monuments.

Kursunlu Waterfalls

Kursunlu Waterfalls are located about 12 kilometers from Antalya, in the natural park of the same name.

The water comes from the Aksu River, and flows through the countryside before reaching the beautiful turquoise pool below Kursunlu.

A secluded and quiet spot, teeming with wildlife and feeling like you're in a fairy tale.

Located to the west of the city, this gorgeous pebble beach stretches for over seven kilometres and is a great place to head if you're looking to sit back and relax in the sun. 

There are also many cafes and snack bars nearby.

With the magnificent Beydağları Mountains, the beach is an ideal place to enjoy the seaside scenery.

Located just 15 kilometers from Antalya, Perge is a stunning archaeological site that must be visited.

This former capital was founded around 1000 BC and there are a number of fascinating ruins to explore, including the stunning Roman theatre which is the highlight of the area.

There is also a huge collection of dilapidated buildings, temples and half-destroyed columns.

Despite the beauty of everything here, the number of tourists is remarkably small.

One of the finest museums in all of Türkiye, the Antalya Archaeological Museum is home to a huge collection of artifacts from the city and surrounding region.

History buffs will surely be amazed by its extensive archaeological sections, which feature enormous mosaics, silver jewellery and beautiful statues from Perge and Byzantium.

The exhibitions cover more than five thousand years of history, and contain amazing ruins and artifacts from the Bronze Age through to the Roman and Byzantine eras.

Aspendos

Although it is located about 40 kilometers from Antalya, it is definitely worth the distance.

The magnificent Roman theatre at Aspendos is one of Turkey's top tourist attractions and is well preserved to this day. It was built around 155 AD.

It is located on the side of a hill, and you will see its massive entrance towers above you as you enter; which will undoubtedly amaze you with their size.

Away from the theatre, there are a number of other monuments to explore, such as those in the basilica, aqueduct and agora.

The highlight is the amazing theatre that attracts people from all over the world.

Hadrian's Gate

It is a magnificent monument built to honor the Roman Emperor Hadrian who visited Antalya in 130 AD.

Well preserved, it still serves as one of the main entry points to the historic Kaleici district.

The three arches are connected by columns with a ceiling inside which have some beautiful sculptures that you can look at; while two ancient towers perfectly frame Hadrian's Gate on either side.
While the ancient defensive walls still surround most of the city, Hadrian's Gate is the only entrance gate still standing.

The historic city centre is full of magnificent old Ottoman palaces, monuments and beautiful buildings dating back to the Roman and Byzantine era.

As such, Kaleici is an absolute joy to wander around; its streets are the perfect place to get lost in and take in all the sights and sounds of Antalya.

With countless restaurants, shops and cafes to choose from, there is plenty to see and do.

There are also a number of lovely small art galleries to check out.

The narrow streets are interspersed with stunning buildings such as: mosque The 18th century Tekeli Mehmet Pasha and the elegant Kesik Minaret, while life revolves around the picturesque main square.
