Founded in 1834, the Grigore Antipa Museum of Natural History offers knowledge-hungry travelers and those with children a fun way to spend a few hours while in Bucharest.
Named after the best-known Roman biologist, this museum houses more than 2,000 exhibits.
Including those displaying dinosaur fossils and minerals as well as plants and animals discovered in Romania.

This is the most famous road in Bucharest.

Its name was changed to Victory Street on October 12, 1878, after Romania gained its independence from the Ottoman Empire.

Cismigiu Gardens, Bucharest
These gardens provide a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Established in 1845, these gardens are the oldest public gardens in Bucharest.
The gardens include a lake, where you can go rowing in summer and skating in winter, a children's playground, the ruins of an ancient castle and more than 30,000 trees.
One of its best features is the Roman Garden, which houses busts of many famous Romanian writers.
There are also cafes and refreshment stands in the park for those who don't feel like walking around.

Spring Palace, Bucharest
The Spring Palace is the former residence of deposed Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena, who were ousted from power during the Romanian Revolution.
and who were subsequently executed on Christmas Day 1989.
The palace remained closed for many years, but was opened to the public in 2016 as a museum.
Visitors can now check out the 80-room mansion, its swimming pool and the luxurious lifestyle enjoyed by the communist leader and his wife.

Roman Theater
Opened in 1888, this stunning neoclassical domed building is one of Romania's most famous landmarks and home to the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.
The theatre hall can accommodate about 800 guests, and the circular interior wall is decorated with a fresco depicting important moments in Romanian history.
If possible, travelers should try to get tickets to any performance here.

Herastrau Garden
This park, the largest in Bucharest, is located around Lake Herastrau and is also home to the Village Museum.
First opened in 1936, it offers visitors a wonderful escape from the city.
Among its many features are walking trails, a Japanese garden, and an open-air theater that hosts performances.
Visitors can also enjoy boating on the lake or rent bikes and stroll around the park.
There are also many restaurants located around Herastrau Park.
Although this park is very popular with locals, it is large enough that it never feels crowded.

Parliament Palace
The Palace of Parliament is the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon.
Work on this massive and imposing building, the brainchild of Nicolae Ceausescu, began in 1984.
However, it has not been completed to this day.
The neoclassical building, which has more than 3,000 rooms, is – in many ways – a reminder to the Romanian people of the excesses of the communist era, especially since it was built at a time when most of the population was extremely poor.
This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bucharest, so visitors are advised to purchase their tickets in advance.
