Tourism in Fethiye: Lycian Rock Tombs
The Lycians ruled this stretch of the Turkish coast since 200 BC, and Fethiye stands on the site of the important Lycian city of Telmessos.
There are many monuments scattered throughout the city, but the most famous is the rock-cut tomb of Amyntas in the south of Fethiye.

It is the most famous beach in Türkiye that you can visit while touring Fethiye.
The white sandy Oludeniz (or Blue Lagoon) beach stretches for 15 kilometres of calm turquoise waters, surrounded by dense pine forests, which is why people have been flocking here for years now.

Until the 1920s, Kayakoy (ancient Karmylassos), eight kilometres from Fethiye, had a mixed population of Greeks and Turks who had lived together for centuries until 1923.
